Legacy of the Valiant Deluxe Edition is out now, but there’s one item you get in each Deluxe Edition that we neglected to cover last time around: the collectible storage box! Each Deluxe Edition is packaged in one of two different collectible storage boxes that feature art from one of the monster themes in the set. For Legacy of the Valiant, the boxes will feature either Gravekeepers or Evilswarm. Why these two? Because some of the coolest cards from Legacy of the Valiant are Gravekeepers or Evilswarm!

Evilswarm Exciton Knight

Evilswarm Exciton Knight is an Xyz Monster and the only Evilswarm monster in Legacy of the Valiant, but it’s an obvious contender for the title of Best Monster from Legacy of the Valiant as well. It’s a Rank 4 Xyz Monster made from any two Level 4 monsters. Moreover, if the total number of cards in your opponent’s hand and on their field exceeds your own, it can wipe the field clean of every card—except itself—during either player’s turn. Evilswarm Exciton Knight is the ultimate equalizer, and even though most of its Evilswarm comrades are from Hidden Arsenal 7: Knight of Stars, they put in an appearance on the Evilswarm collectible storage box.

Gravekeeper’s Oracle

On the other hand, there are plenty of new Gravekeeper monsters in Legacy of the Valiant! You can scroll back through our card archives to read all about them (click HERE), but the standout Gravekeeper monster is the Level 10 “Gravekeeper God Card,” Gravekeeper’s Oracle. He’s a Level 10 monster that you Summon by Tributing anywhere from one to three Gravekeepers. When you do, you get to choose a number of his effects to use up to the number of “Gravekeeper’s” monsters you Tributed. The results can be catastrophic for your opponent, and that’s why he sits atop the Gravekeeper collectible storage box!
